Kaylin Edwards, a sophomore at Long Beach Wilson High in California, won the girls 300-meter hurdles title in 41.57 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Edwards also contributed to a runner-up 4x400-meter relay in 3:42.49, as well as helping the Bruins take third in the 4x100-meter relay in 46.66. Long Beach Wilson won its first girls team title since 2006 with 44 points.
